Dr Tony Asis, MD

Dr. Antonio Asis, M.D., F.A.C.O.G. was born in New Haven, Connecticut. He graduated cum laude from Hopkins School in 1984. He then attended Brown University and graduated in May of 1988 with an AB in Biology. He worked as a research assistant at Yale University School of Medicine the following year where he contributed to work that was published in the Journal of Cell Physiology. Dr. Asis received his M.D. degree from the University Of Rochester School Of Medicine in May of 1993 with honors, having been inducted to the Alpha Omega Alpha Society.

From June 1993 to June 1997, Dr. Asis attended residency at Yale-New Haven Medical Center in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Upon graduation he received the award for Outstanding Resident of Gynecologic Endoscopy.

Dr. Asis joined his father, Dr. Jose Asis and sister, Dr. Maria Asis-Gilbride, in private practice after graduating from residency. While continuing the tradition of patient care established by his father he has continued teaching residents of Yale-New Haven Hospital and has developed an expertise in robotic surgery. He has proctored other physicians in this technology throughout the East Coast.

Dr. Asis is a diplomat of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. He is a Fellow of American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, a member of the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopy and New Haven Obstetrics and Gynecology Society.
