Debra Tashlein, MSN, NP-C, CLC, graduated from Lehigh University in Bethlehem, PA in 1992, where she received a Bachelor of Science in Business and Economics. She began her career in accounting as a Certified Public Accountant, however, she chose to pursue her passion in women’s health and attend Yale University School of Nursing in New Haven, CT. Here she acquired a Master of Science in Nursing with a concentration in Adult and Women’s Health. Her research focused on the emotional and psychological aspects of multi-fetal pregnancy reduction. Her specialty interests are in contraception, sexually transmitted infections, infertility and third party reproduction.
Debra holds many Licenses and Certifications. Her certifications include: Adult Nurse Practitioner with the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, Women’s Health Care Nurse Practitioner with the NCC for the Obstetric, Gynecologic and Neonatal Nursing Specialties, Certified Lactation Counselor with the Academy of Lactation Policy and Practice. Her licensures include: Advanced Practice Registered Nurse - State of Connecticut, the D.E.A., as well as Registered Nurse - State of Connecticut.
She holds professional memberships with the National Association of Nurse Practitioners in Women’s Health, the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, Connecticut Advanced Practice Registered Nurse Society and the Sigma Theta Tau International Nursing Honor Society, Delta Mu Chapter.
Debra is a member and volunteer for Resolve, New England Chapter. Resolve is a nonprofit organization promoting advocacy, education and support for those facing infertility.
