I'm pregnant (or want to be)

For many women and couples, deciding to have a baby is a very important decision!

If you are planning to become pregnant:

We encourage you to make a pre-pregnancy checkup. During a pre-pregnancy checkup, a physical exam will take place, as well as a review of your medical, family and obstetrical history. We will also discuss any medications you are currently taking and we would plan a healthy diet and lifestyle.

If you are trying to become pregnant:

For many couples who have been off birth control, will conceive within one year of having regular unprotected sex. However, many couples have trouble conceiving and may need help. In that case, a fertility evaluation will be recommended for you and your partner.

If you found out you are pregnant:

Congratulations!

Please call your doctor as soon as you find out you are pregnant. The first few weeks of pregnancy are very important in healthy child development. Your doctor would like you to come in 6-10 weeks into your pregnancy for your initial prenatal visit. During this visit, any questions you may have will be answered and detailed information will be discussed to having a healthy pregnancy and a healthy baby!
